Nowadays, Seki City is known for producing the finest kitchen knives in the world. All our Pro Series blades are forged in Seki by a family who have been forging katanas and knives from father to son for over 400 years. Mr Kawamura's family (Hazaki's production partner) is unequivocally one of the most experienced forge in Japan, which makes their knives among the best in the world.
Forged from Damascus VG10 steel, the Pro Series blade is a true work of art. The VG-10 Steel has with a Rockwell Hardness rating of 61, at once both durable and malleable, rust-resistant and peerless in edge retention, it is truly the gold standard.

All our handles are handcrafted in Montreal, Canada. At Hazaki, our objective is to produce some of the finest kitchen knives in the world. Both Japanese forging Canadian woodworking techniques have been perfected for hundreds of years.
We decided to combine both Japanese and Canadian techniques so that every finished knife is a piece of art that respects the traditions of craftsmanship of each country.
